Martin Luther King "I have a dream"

Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968)
King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and Congressional Gold Medal in 2004; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was established as a U.S. national holiday in 1986.

What's you dream? Everybody has a dream! This is America!

Bob McDonnell Campaign for Virginia Governor Kickoff

I attended the Bob McDonnell Campaign for Virginia Governor Kickoff rally in Annandale, Virginia this 28th March 2009 weekend. It was great to see a large turnout for the McDonnell family on a misty rainy Saturday morning. After all nothing says more about a candidate than his family and the admiration others have for them. With that said I would like to introduce you to Jeanine McDonnell as she introduces her father, Bob McDonnell.

"It has been a long road leading to this point. But Bob has never been alone. For 32 years he and Maureen have been married. They now have 5 children, ages 17-27. Their oldest daughter, Jeanine, answered the same call to service as her Dad and both her Grandfathers. She recently completed service in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Baghdad, Iraq in 2005-2006."

I was surprised to see the crowds reactions to issues like Energy Independence, No Card Check and Economic reform initiatives which all got really great responses. It's a good barometer of where the public mindset is at with these issues considering the election is still months away. Overall, I took away one of a future of opprotunity for the Commonwealth, which is key in these tough and uncertain economic times.

Go! Bob! Go!
